          -   Application of natural products in cosmetic

              We are interested in various products such as vegetable oils, essential oils and
              other  herbal  extracts from local plants, and bioactive compounds from micro-organism.
              Furthermore, their properties are also investigated to evaluate the efficacy for
              using them in cosmetic products (bar soap, liquid soap and lotion) as oil bases or
              preservatives.
                        
                             Such properties include:
                                       Chemical composition
                                       Antioxidant activity
                                       Antimicrobial activity

          - Application of lipases in the synthesis of polymeric biosurfactant

            The use of lipase in the synthesis of modified polysaccharide with fatty acid has been
            studied. This novel modified polysaccharide has applicability for the synthesis of
            nanoparticles used in drug delivery system and for aqueous formulation.
