I have been particularly interested in the mechanisms regulating
plant gene expression. I use forward and reverse genetic approaches
to identify gene functions that are potentially useful in the
production of high yields of novel products in crop plants and other
biotechnological application. Recent research interests has been
focusing on:
· Plant functional genomics study in cassava (Manihot esculenta
Crantz.) to improve starch quality and quantity for industrial
applications.
· Biochemical and molecular genetics related to latex yield and
stress response of rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis L.).
· Environmental friendly-plant molecular farming.
· Epigenetic control: Implications for plant improvement.
